Karen Danto holds a bachelors degree in Education from the University of Michigan and a masters degree in Social Work from Wayne State University. She is licensed in both macro and clinical social work through the state of Michigan. She is an accomplished psychotherapist with over 30 years in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Karen’s therapeutic style is a blend of goal-oriented, solution-focused, mind-body and cognitive behavioral methodology. Karen has had extensive training in clinical hypnosis and has received certification from the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis in 1996. In addition, she is also level 2 trained and certified (2002) in EMDR which stands for eye movement, desensitization and reprocessing. This powerful method of doing psychotherapy has been used to successfully relieve many types of psychological distress.

Her years of experience, continued training and skill refinement allow her to tailor design a treatment plan in which a client can quickly move toward their goals.
